Victor Palau y Ana Gea, estudio de diseño y directores del periódico digital gràffica, han hecho este precioso e interesantísimo cartel, titulado “Universo de Emociones”, integrado en el proyecto multidisciplinar La Caja de Vernetta. Para su creación han contado con la colaboración de Eduard Punset, jurista, escritor, economista y divulgador científico. Su objetivo: mostrar gráficamente el universo de emociones y sentimientos con los que vivimos, hacer un retrato de lo que ocurre dentro de cada uno de nosotros. La gráfica está inspirada en los mapas, las cartografías, atlas terrestres y del universo y, sobre todo, la creatividad e imaginación de estos dos diseñadores. El resultado de la investigación es este cartel, que apetece verlo más de cerca para saborearlo y comprenderlo en su totalidad.
En el encabezamiento está este texto, de Eduard Punset: ¿Puedo gestionar mis emociones? El mayor descubrimiento de este siglo ha sido constatar que estamos programados, pero para ser únicos. Es decir, se ha zanjado el debate que ha durado casi cincuenta años entre los reduccionistas partidarios de que la programación genética y cerebral dictaba nuestra conducta por una parte, y los otros -psicólogos en su mayoría-, partidarios de que la experiencia individual también determinaba parte de nuestra conducta al incidir en la estructura genética y mental. El nuevo concepto de plasticidad cerebral y el desarrollo de la epigenética han modificado este planteamiento. Gracias a experimentos efectuados en varias universidades, hoy sabemos que podemos gestionar nuestras emociones si nos lo proponemos.
Navegando por internet hace unos días encontré este vídeo que me recordó muchísimo al cartel, a la conexión de las neuronas y las emociones de ese grande y pequeño universo que hay dentro de nosotros.
Victor Palau and Ana Gea, graphic design studio and directors of gràffica, digital magazine, have made this precious and very interesting poster titled “Emotions Universe”, as part of the multidisciplinary project La Caja de Vernetta (Vernetta’s Box). To create it, they have collaborated with Eduard Punset, spanish jurist, writer, economist and scientific popularizer. Their objective: showing with graphics the emotions and feelings universe we live inside us and making a portrait of it. The graphic style is inspired in maps, cartographies, world and universe atlas and, above all, the creativity and imagination of this designers. The research’s result is this poster, that makes me want to see it closer to taste, enjoy and understand it totally.
In the head of the poster is this text, from Eduard Punset: ¿Can I manage my emotions? The century’s biggest discovery has been to verify that we are programmed, but to be unics. It means: it’s finally closed the fifty yearse discussion between the reductionists, supporters of the idea that said the genetic and brain programming was ordering our conduct; and the other group, consisting mainly of psycologists, supporters of the single experience determiner of our conduct because it was bearing on genetic and mental structure. The new brain plasticity concept and the epigenetics development have modified this posing. Thanks to some experiments made in the universities, we can know today that we can manage our emotions if we set ourselves to do it.
Surfing on the internet some days ago I met this video that reminded me so much to this poster, the neurons and emotional connections that happen in that big and little universe there’s inside each of us.
