Flipballoon

Inspirado en el clásico flipbook y usando, en vez de páginas, globos y una dolly, la agencia de publicidad brasileña ParanoidBR ha hecho esta genial vídeo animación para MTV Brasil. Y para que nadie piense que esto fue fácil de grabar, fijaros en los fondos para comprobar que necesitaron diferentes tomas para grabar el vídeo al completo. Me imagino el objetivo lleno de restos de globos y mil secuencias perdidas por este motivo. Según pone en el comentario del vídeo, tardaron unas 24 horas en grabar las imagenes necesarias para tener la animación completa.

Inspired on the classic flipbook and using, instead of pages, balloons and a dolly, the brazilian advertising agency ParanoidBr has made this awesome video animation for MTV Brazil. And don’t think it was easy to record, look at the backgrounds to see that they needed to record it many times to get the full video. I can imagine the camera lens invaded by ballooon rests and lots of lost sequences by this cause. As the video comment says, they lasted 24 hours to get the needed images to make the full animation.

Plegable | Foldable

Las cosas plegables tienen un atractivo especial: aparecen y desaparecen. Cuando los usamos ocupan un espacio, y luego se condensan y pasan a ocupar un espacio mínimo, casi desapareciendo. Cuando veo un local pequeño en la calle me resulta divertido imaginarme una tienda de muebles plegables, que no cabrían en ese espacio extendidos, pero se podrían desplegar sólo cuando el cliente lo solicitase. Un lugar muy pequeño en el que caben muchas cosas grandes, algo aparentemente contradictorio pero posible cuando se trata de este tipo de muebles.

Flux Chair es una silla plegable. No sería especial si no fuera porque al desplegarse parece casi un sillón de lo confortable que parece ser, rompiendo con el tópico silla plegable = silla incómoda.

Foldable things are specially attractive: they appear and disappear. When we use them, they occupate an space, and after their use, they are condensed and occupate a very little space, almost disappearing. When I see a little premise, I find fun by imagining a foldable furniture shop, that would never fit into that place if they were extended, but they could be extended just when the client wanted to see the product. A very little place in which many things can fit.  Something apparenty contradictory, but possible when we talk about this kind of furniture.

Flux Chair is a foldable chair. I wouldn’t be special if it didn’t look like a sofa when it’s extended, because it looks so comfortable, breaking the foldable chari = uncomfortable chair topic.

Póster Sucio | Dirt-Poster

El futuro nos pertenece a los pocos que todavía queremos tener nuestras manos sucias.

Me ha impresionado este póster de Reiner Tiangco. Es un poster que necesita tu participación. La parte trasera está ensuciada con tinta negra. Por delante, en cambio, es todo blanco, pero tiene zonas con brillo que repelen la tinta, y zonas mate, las letras, que la absorben y revelan el mensaje.

The future belongs to the few of us still willing to get our hands dirty.

This Reiner Tiangco poster has impressed me a lot. It requires your participation. The back of the poster is dirty of black ink. The front side, however, is all white, but it has glossy zones that repels the ink, and matte zones that take it and reveal the message.
